happy memorial day πΊπΈ we picked our first handful of strawberries of the season — sun-warmed, imperfect, and gone almost as quickly as they arrived.
I wanted to preserve them the best way I know how. π
Remembering this Memorial Day that beauty, peace, and home are never things to take for granted.
a study in movement, muscle, light, and instinct. π
been sketching with pencil and charcoal more lately, especially when I don’t have the time or space to get the oil paints out, and it really fills me up just as much.
I had sardines for lunch and that is sometimes just how deep the inspiration for a painting goes… π

mural monday ποΈ

story time π€ this project was more than a commission- it brought me back to myself. I was stuck in a creative rut, going through the motions of my full time job and motherhood/pregnancy, and I kept finding reasons not to paint.
until a special person came to me with a very special request. I was so honored by her trust in me taking this on, and I knew this would be something I needed just as much as she did.
somewhere between the first brushstroke and the last, I remembered what it feels like to slow down and create something that holds a moment in time. not for productivity, not for perfection—but to feel like myself again.
this pieces changed something for me. it reminded me that art can be more than something you hang on a wall—it can be something you keep, something that marks a season of your life.
I haven’t shared much yet, but these paintings quietly became the beginning of something new I’ve been working on behind the scenes… something rooted in that same idea of creating and collecting moments, one season at a time.
more soon ποΈ

ποΈ Some paintings hold more than paint—they hold a moment in time I’ll never get back.
Lately I’ve realized some paintings are special not for how they look, but for the chapter of life they were created in—the quiet moments, the growth, the in-between. this was feels extra special to me.
